Introducing a new travel concept to Spain!

Shareacar.eu has been designed to allow people travelling the same route on the same day to make contact with each other and possibly avoid the cost and environmental impact of taking two cars, or even worse, taking two taxi´s.

I travel to the local airports about twice a month and my wife has to drive the 150 km each way with the car only having her in it on either the pick up or drop off trips.

Think about it!

When you last travelled to the airport how many people were in the car?

If you look at the traffic queueing at the tolls, more than 50% are carrying just the driver. From an environmental viewpoint this is a bad thing but perhaps of more impact is the financial cost.

Sharing the car means sharing the fuel costs, the toll costs and instead of two cars on the road only one and meeting new people.

On a long journey, say to the ferry at Santander or Bilbao, the advantages are even greater; shared fuel costs, new conversation and you could even make a new friend or two!

It's a win-win situation which is why car sharing is gaining popularity worldwide and especially in the US and the UK.
